The Salvatore Ferragamo Soft Cesar Clutch is a quirky and attractive steel-colored masterpiece.
After a long 2009 of safe choices by most well-known designers, this unusual style from an established house is a welcome surprise. The soft natural-grain calfskin is gently tucked at the corners by striking silver rings. The flap top is accented with Ferragamo’s signature Gancini belt and two decorative studs, which balance the subtle swoop of the shape. The steely gray color is the only “safe” thing about this bag — but with the bull-ring-esque details and demure 6″H x 11″W x 3″D size, the color only ensures versatility.
This clutch is perfect for day or night, and the rings and belt are sure to be noticed. We’d love to see this sexing up a pastel spring ensemble.
