Erin’s Style Picks: Old School
Rather than tune in to an endless parade of summer reruns, I’ve been getting my TCM on and have been ogling some classic Hollywood fashions in the process. “Dial M for Murder,” “North by Northwest,” “The Women,” “All About Eve”…the impeccably dressed heroines in these flicks make the “Gossip Girl” cast look like they wandered out of TJ Maxx. As such, I’m currently on the hunt for modern-day pieces with classic cuts and a retro appeal. My favorite is this Jackie O-esque white Rollneck Ponte Dress from Morgan McFeeters, which creates a sleek silhouette and looks a-maze-ing with Prada’s timelessly chic Jewel Clasp Handle Bag. The jet-black jeweled details are instandly glam, making it just the thing to hit Cary Grant over the head with before I give in and let him kiss me. Wait…did I say that out loud?
