Erin’s Style Picks: Easy Summer Chic

Was it Thoreau or Emerson who wisely declared, “Summertime, and the living’s easy”? Oh no, wait. It was Sublime. Nonetheless, that statement is right on the money as far as I’m concerned. When the thermometer is looking like an oil derrick about to upchuck some Texas Tea and the AC is puffing out more hot air than a politician, my clothes need to be cool, calm, collected, anad 100% fuss-free. This easy-breezy cobalt Feist dress from Canada’s House of Spy label fits the bill perfectly - you can throw it on and strut out the door, or take your time and dress it up. The loose but chic design also means you can stop worrying about unsightly sweat stains and clingy material. Coach’s Delphine Metallic Leather purse feels similarly luxe but low-key. The platinum metallic leather is glam, to be sure, but the handbag’s semi-relaxed shape retains a versatile, grab-and-go vibe. Because when my makeup is dripping down my face and my hair is frizzing out of control, the last thing I need is for my outfit to betray me too.
